Chew Valley 12th Beer Festival 2014

Welcome to the 2014 Chew Valley Beer Festival web site. The festival will take place on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th September in Ubley Parish Hall. Tickets will be available for sale from 1st July 2014, both nights have sold out in previous years so please plan ahead and order your tickets early. Tickets can be ordered via PayPal, order phone on 01761 462468. Included within the £8.50 ticket price is a commemorative glass, the bands and of course, access to the festival itself.

Preparations for this years event are already well underway and the committee are undergoing the arduous task of carefully selecting a suitable range of beers for your delight. The fruits of their labours in previous years can be checked by viewing the previous programs. As in previous years, there will also be a range of ciders available during the festival, the details of these and the beers will be added to the beers page when they become available.

Apart from the wide range of excellent beers and ciders there is something for everyone to enjoy whether it is live music, a range of traditional pub games or just a chance for a good natter with friends, old or new. There will be bands at both evening sessions whilst Saturday afternoon is a more relaxed, laid back occasion - perhaps the time to come and really broaden your palate with some of the wide range of excellent beers on offer.

During the festival a "Quiet" room is available at the back of the hall, containing chairs, tables and some traditional pub games - a welcome refuge for people who want to enjoy their beer and consider their next choice in relative calm while avoiding the masses circling near the bar.

Food is available during all the sessions to cater for those needs that require more than just beer alone, run by Ubley School PTA and kindly supported by W J Pearce, the excellent local butchers in Chew Magna.

If you've been before, then you'll want to get your tickets now, if you haven't, don't leave it too late as evening sessions invariably sell out. Alternatively, get your tickets for free by sponsoring the festival. .
